Hanging In The Moment

The noises in the room
Shaking through your brain.
The people always move,
Sending you insane.

They rave and they rant,
But someone seems to say.
Somehow through the chant
You can’t make it go away.

There’s no way to discern
What you see and what you hear.
There’s no way you can learn
How to set aside the fear.

The fear gripping tighter,
Grabbing at your throat,
Your head feeling lighter,
As you begin to float.

The room changing shades,
Everything looks the same.
You begin to fade,
Then someone calls your name.

You’ve found someone who cares?
You realise through the noise,
They’re laughing as they stare.
You know you’ve made the choice...

The world has turned away,
No one knows you’re gone,
Your body starts to sway.

The rope taut, not too long…
